Posted on 00:23 by Unknown

I notice that my default search engine has been changed and when I do a search, this search engine keeps providing some annoying ads and sponsored links in the search results. I really feel annoyed with such problems. How can I get rid of Opti-page.com from my machine? Please help me!

If you also encounter the problems as described above, then this post is worth reading.

Opti-page.com is a seemingly legitimate website. But in fact, it is a malicious website used by cyber criminals to generate revenue. To achieve the goal of making money through this website, the cyber criminals will also create a virus which is used to infect innocent users’ computers and hijack their browsers to this website. Usually, that virus is called Opti-page.com redirect virus. After this redirect virus is released on the internet, it will attack your computer when it gets the chance. Your computer gets infected by this redirect virus mainly because that you happen to visit websites containing the redirect virus or download freeware which has malicious code of this redirect virus embedded in it. After it enters your computer and gets itself installed, it will make changes to your browsers settings and internet settings. Then you will find the default homepage and search engine are replaced by the other ones. And when you surf the internet with your browser, Opti-page.com keeps appearing, along with a lot of ads.
